Hi

It may reset at the next service reset.

Failing that, you will need to plug a reset tool into the OBD port, lik the other BMW's....

It is only a 2 year reminder - so no panic...

You can reset it... there are instructions on here somewhere (do the search).

You could easily get it done by someone else (or even yourself). Only thing is I do remember something about a special procedure to flush the fluid from the abs unit. This might require special equipment?

Clubman less....

...I will be surprised if you can reset the clock ONLY using the normal Si reset procedure (non-tool)

As for ABS unit, you are correct, that BMW/MINi reccomend that use of the special tool DIS etc is used.

There is no problem however, about changing teh fluid DIY - I have done this on several BMW's with no problems.

The point is that you MUST ensure that no air enters the system - which means you must ensure that the reservoir never gets empty when you are flushing...

I have two tools - one uses an airline to such the fluid out and nother like a garden sprayer that pushes teh new fluid in... it works best. You just go round the nipples and let the old fluid out!
