Hello

I have a problem with my cooling fan. Sometimes it stays on , even with the keys out of the ignition, until it either 1. flattens my battery or 2. I have to pull the fuse out. Sometimes if I replace the fuse in the same night the engine comes on as soon as I put the fuse just slightly in ( no key in the ignition). If I leave it out all night and replace the fuse in the morning the fan is fine and doesn't come on until I start the car.

The temperature is fine, yes the aircon is on and I live in queensland so its hot but it's spring so it is not even close to being as hot as it gets in the summer ( this problem didn't happen last summer)

I have an 02 Cooper S.

Please help its really annoying me

have you fixed your problem.....i have just purchased an 02 cooper s and am have the exact same problem.

I haven't had it fixed as it hasn't done it now for about 6 months. The last time that it did it I pulled the fuse out until the next morning and then it was fine.

I sometimes have this on mine, it is when I have had my auto air con on or am stationar for a period of time with the air con on.
I hope this applies to you and if so is normal
