Leaking Roof - Cant find the source

I've got a 52reg Mini One (not convertible) without a sunroof.

The roof is leaking and the water is collecting at the rear view mirror and dripping down through the mirror and running into the dashboard. The cars parked on a slight downward slope so a leak from anywhere would collect here but i cant find any source.

At first i thought the leak was coming from the ariel seals which had snapped and running down the ariel cable to the front. We've sealed that now but the problem is persisting.

Most of the other threads refer to the A pillars leaking but this water seems to be coming from the back and collecting at the front as the footwells are both dry.

I have had probs with the BC1 before though and had it replaced last december under warranty.

Any thoughts or advice gratefully received - its going to be a wet new years......

Has the car still got its original windscreen?

If not then maybe its the top seal not having been fitted back in correctly

Its only a forum you know!

This is almost certainly the windscreen seal, if it's out of warranty then take it to a windscreen shop, they will refit it for you with the existing seal. If the seal is damaged they will need to fit a new one.

Obviously, if it is under warranty then just get the dealer to fix the problem.

i cant see any evidence on ingress via the windscreen. the windscreen is at a lower point than where the water is collecting.

and its still the oirginal windscreen.

thanks for the reply - i'm going to get the car booked in (out of warranty - ouch!) but i'm still confindent its not the windscreen.

there's no water on the inside of the windscreen at all. its collecting at a higher point than that, soaking the headliner and then dripping through the lowest point - the mirror.
