| MINI2 Newbie | Battery Terminal Fuse Hi all, Please could anyone give some light on the fuselink and airbag battery terminal on MCS. There are two main positive cables which attach to positive terminal on battery.Would i be correct in saying the one with the airbag cable connected to it has a special saftey fuse in it which in the event of an accident blows and cuts off the supply and then a new cable is required after vehicle is repaired. Any info on this system would be appriciated. Thanks Tim. |

Offline | I think you are basically correct. If the MCS battery safety terminal has been activated (blown) then the whole lot has to be replaced. This is the cable that goes under the car from the battery to the alternator and starter. Activation may have caused a fault code, so the Multiple Restraint System control module has to be read and reset. ![]() |
