Coolant leak

Picked up my Chili Red S in Baltimore MD and had a grand time driving it back to Boulder, CO. One problem: the car leaked a tiny bit of coolant in my driveway after the longest leg of the trip (850 miles). Anyone else have a similar problem? The car's at service now to determine problem...

coolant leakage

Are you sure its coolant, as my car deposits a little bit of water on the drive and it appears to be condensation from the A.C. system.

Yeh, all Air conditioners have a condensation tube to drip out the condensed water from the air.

Did you look underneather and try and coordinate the drip with the dripper to see maybe where it would be dripping from.

Also, many cars have a place for windshield wiper fluid after use to channel and travel down as well and prevent it from going on the side windows.

Coolent should feel slightly more slippery than plain water and smells a little sweet (but don't taste it for goodness sakes--because its very poisioness).

Ok, I've decided:

This was slippery for sure and slightly green. I knew about the AC condensation, and I'm doubting it was that or the wiper fluid.

Is it possible that the dealer overfilled the overflow tank in preparation for the usual cooling system burp?

Not likely. And even so, this was after 2400 miles of driving. I picked the car up East Coast and drove it to Colorado. That's when I noticed the coolant. The tank actually looked like it could be filled a bit.

Actually the coolant is blue, you may have a power steering leak, that fluid is green. In either case, its at the dealer and they'll fix it either way.
