my 06 MCS has a creaky driver door. I think its just something they do. Does make it sound like an old car.

My 06 MCS Works also has a creaky driver's door (and also passenger's door sometimes!).

As doors are pretty 'standard' items, this thread should be in the relevant forum area, rather than a in the 'Works' area....?

Or do we think thats its perhaps down to italian build quality,.....?? Another oxymoron....

My own little 'italian special' had me out of bed at 5.30 with its alarm doing its nut, had to disconect the battery....

If it creaks it simply requires lubricating LOL

Had this on on my cooper and on my cooper S twice in 3 years. Take it to stealers and ask them to grease it up for you. Should do it for free.

My Cooper had this - seem to remember my dad sorting with a bit of WD40 in the hinge or something - I know I didn't take it to the dealers though to get it sorted.

I tried sorting it with some silicon lubricant I had, and some other grease, and it got better for a while, dealer uses the correct stuff for the doors.

Had the same problem on my MCS. A little shot of WD40 solved the problem.
