DIY COOPER S PROBLEM help

hi i have a cooper s with the hartge conversion , recently upgraded from a cooper when accelerating in 1st it feels flat on initial pull away--- say to 3000 rpm slower than cooper ive tried revving it up to try to produce a bit of boost to no avail once over 3000 rpm it flies and pulls really strong in all gears
any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Ragerover I too have a Hartge MCS. Do you have the 210 conversion or the 200? I do not have any problems with mine, but I agree once you stamp on the throttle it takes off over 3krpm.

Do you notice the same thing happening in 2nd and 3rd with the same throttle position?
