Offline | My Radio Boost has gone bonkers! I've been experiencing an unpredictable head unit for the last month or so, the problem occurs everytime i play a CD, after several tracks, it suddenly tunes itself to a preset radio station often some random R&B or trance channel. When i press the mode button to re-play the CD - nothing happens, i have to resort to ejecting and inserting the cd several times to get the unit to play has anyone experience something similar or can diagnose the problem before I contact the dealer? ![]() |

| Dog Tired | It sounds like you have the news or traffic setting on. On the right hand side of the radio you have two function that actually server double functions. A quick push changes what is displayed but if you press and hold the button a sec you can change another option (off and on). Try turning NEWS and Traffic off. These are designed to auto tune the radio to a station when the signal is received. However, it is supposed to release back to the CD when done. Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | sounds like a good explanation. to me. The traffic or news signal is broadcast by the radio station (you sometimes hear a series of beeps when listening to the station. (kind of deeedle, deedle, booop) when they broadcast the signal - but I think they are also meant to broadcast a signal at the end of the announcement to turn off again and return you to the normal station/cd think that's how it is meant to work anyway. Could be that the end signal isn't being broadcast by the radio station and your head unit is fine. Well worth a try in the first instance before the dealer trys to flog u a new unit. |

Offline | thanks for the remedy, i did have the Traffic turned on until recently but i wasn't sure whether the News was on or off but it is definitely off now, the Reg is also turned off and from the finding this has cleared the issue for the last day or two.... |
