DIY Remote Locking Not Working

Hi

A while ago my 2002 MCS stopped locking and unlocking with the remote key. Using the key in the lock still opens all doors and the boot. I only have one remote key, so can't really check if it's that, although there is a small LED that lights if you open the key up and press a button.

I have replaced the receiver in the headlining - see this thread started by DavidKing http://www.mini2.com/forum/faults-fi...-reciever.html but that made no difference.

Does anyone have any ideas of what to try next? It could be the key but they're a bit pricey!

Nobody got any ideas?

Can anyone confirm the procedure to recode the key to the car? I have the two button remote if that makes any difference.
