DIY rapid ticking noice from the glovebox

Diagnosis required

My 04 MCS has an intermittant rapid ticking comming from the area of the glovebox. Open the glovebox and the light flickers to the beat of the tick.

This is intermittant. Should any dealer look at this under the Cherished warranty? Would they try to charge for the diagnosis if they "couldnt find anything wrong"?

Looking for opinions before I call local dealer 300 yds from me. ( Bowkers )

update on this issue. I think it has someting to do with the heated windscreens. Almost like its trying to trip off after 10mins or so, but it isnt doing , it just keeps ticking.

ticking only happens when the heated screen has been on for ten mis or so.

i took it to bowkers bmw, they charged me 38 quid, to find nothing.
