United-Kingdom tyre pressure light

i have an 04 cooper s with aftermarket 18" wheels and my tyre pressure light comes on all the time and when i stop to check the tyres they are all ok, is this a fault with the car? or does it need to be re programmed with the new wheels on?

please help its doing my head in.

If you change wheels and tires you need to reset the TPMS.

DIY Reseting Run-flat indicator light, Tyre Pressure warning light.

Initialising the system, after changing a wheel, tyre, or just doing the pressures (make sure all the tyre pressures are correct), even if the light isn't already on .
