Hi Guys,

Your expert help needed again!

Yesterday after driving my 2006 S, I stepped out of the car to move the bins, leaving the car running and I noticed only what I can describe as a hissing noise.

The noise comes from directly under the car, under the drivers seat... I really cannot for the life of me think what it can be (I'm not mechanically minded at all!)

Please help

Hi Jay,

They make all sorts of noises you only notice once you're outside the car!! That hissing could be anything from the fuel pump to the aircon compressor...

Keep an eye on your gauges and fluid levels over the next week... if you can't see a problem you can assume its a normal noise

If you fancy meeting up for a diet coke in or around Guildford I'll take a listen for you.

Maybe you're right - maybe I'm too fussy and paranoid about it!

How about we get all the others together and do a mini MINI run and a meal/burger in Shere/Surrey...
