looked under the bonnet last week. shocked to see no coolant in tank

. topped up and thought all was fine. checked today and again bone dry

. no signs of leaks on the driveway or on anything i can in the engine bay. no warrenty so not keen to take it a dealership. anyone had similar problems on coopers. i know there is on the s.

i did; noticed mine had little in it but the system was full, just nothing in the bottle.

found out it was leaking and dripping onto the exhaust heatsheild = no sign on the drive or anything!

replaced the bottle (which looked old and decoloured anyway) for £18 and job done

i had the same problem with no apparent leaks and it turned out to be a faulty thermostat which was using up too much coolant
