Came home at lunchtime and as I pulled onto the driveway there was lots of steam coming out of the front grille

Naturally this made me open the bonnet to investigate

Im still not sure what that was all about?! As the coolant level was ok, as is the oil level and it hasnt been raining and no puddles

Any ideas?

Anyway, the other day when I was cleaning under the bonnet I noticed this, im not sure if it is just wax from the factory that has got alot of muck stuck to it over time, or whether something is leaking?? Im sure it wasnt this bad before

Something to worry about or me just being a girl?

Not sure what the official name is, but I'd call it £500 off your part exchange.

Cracked engine mount I'm afraid!

Had one replaced under warranty on our Cooper about a year ago!

BTW the fluid is an absolute pig to remove!!

I would go out and check mine but it's dark now.

Pretty sure that isn't right though.

you should be still under parts warranty from BMW so no charge as your car is not above 3 years old

Bad manufacturing!

The original one on our Cooper looked cast and the replacement was pressed,

So I'm sure BMW are well aware of the problem and you might get it done as a recall!
