1st gear accelerating, single knock.

my mini has developed a single knock when accelerating in first gear (mosly at about 4k revs) it sounds like it coming from the engine toward the passanger side. when accelerating in any other gear i dont get it. but it has happened a few times reversing.

any idears what it could be, it cant be the engine mounts bcause it would happen more and all round accelerating.
