Offline | Electrical problems I have a 2003 Cooper which has done 65k miles. Last week i tried to unlock the car with the remote with no joy. Thinking it was the battery in the key, i unlocked the car using the key. I noticed that the clock had reset to 00.00 , so assumed an electrical problem. Last night the alarm went off in the early hours. I tried to switch the alarm off using the remote, however it again wouldnt work. When i unlocked the car using the key, the alarm continued to sound , however the hazard lights werent flashing. All electrics in the car were dead, no lights, radio etc and the car wouldnt turn over or start. Had to leave the car unlocked. About two hours later the alarm went off again. This time hazards were flashing and all electrics worked. Was able to turn off and reset the alarm with the remote and everything now seems ok ! The car hasnt been tampered with. All battery connections seem ok. Any ideas ? Thanks |
