Help locating clicking noise from drivers-side pls?

Hi all,
Warranty due to expire in 10 days on my S and of course I've suddenly developed a clicking noise - is this the car reminding me who's in charge, or BMW engineering designed to ensure I purchase the extended warranty

So, I'm getting a clicking noise from the drivers-side when I accelerate and decelerate, mostly in traffic in first and second gear at low speeds.
It appears to be coming from the interior in the accelerator pedal / wheel arch area - although it could be from the exterior wheel arch area.
I don't think it's an engine mount as it's not a clunk - more like the sound when you turn a light switch on and off.

I did manage to find that the accelerator pedal itself will make a clicking sound if I wiggle it around with my hand - can't be totally sure that's the sound I'm hearing when driving though.

Anyone have any ideas? Could it be a drive shaft or shock absorber etc?
Have it booked into the dealership on Tuesday and just like to give them a heads-up as it seems issues get resolved easier that way.

Thanks, Geoff.

Did you find out what this noise was? Because it sounds a lot like the noise my '05 Mini S is making now.

Hello,

This sounds like one of two things:

- Driveshaft
- Wheel bearing

Had it on mine too... quite common, but easily fixed. Hope it gets sorted.

Was initially diagnosed as a drive-shaft but actually turned out to be the driver-side engine mount.

All clicking now gone .
