Rear Wash Wipe Not Working

Hi

I have a 2002 Cooper and had the same problem with the rear washer not working.

There are two parts, the wiper and a cap which covers the connection between the wiper and drive shaft. Do four things:-

1) Pull the cap gently towards you to remove it.
2) Run the washer to clear any muck in the feed pipe, you should see a good stream of water jetting out.
3) Clean inside the cap.
4) Reassemble.

I hope this helps.

Sometime the rear washer gets blocked. You can unblock this with a pin.

With regards to the speed settings for the front wipers, there should be three settings. Up once for intermittent. Up again for normal wiper speed and then up again for the fastest setting. Pressing down from the initial position will make the wipers wipe once.

Are you sure you don't have the rain sensing option, this may explain this?
