this morning when starting my car both the puncture light came on adn also the DSC light is on i used the car at 3am and it was fine how can this come about? any help or advise

i have had a look round the tinternet and one answer that came back is tht it could be a faulty Steering Angle Sensor ????????? is this true?????
if so how could i resolve this? i have AA 5 star warrenty and unsure whether sensors are covered

Possible, but it could also be something as simple as a faulty / dirty ABS sensor .

This quote is from a post that I did for someone else, I don't want to worry you but it could be worth a look, in-fact click on (original) as the whole post could apply as both systems use the ABS system to work .

Another problem that I've noticed from the beginning of the 1st Gen BMW MINI, the main wiring loom comes out of the bulk-head into the engine compartment on the left hand side (UK MINIs, RHD) and then the loom splits of to the ABS unit but part of the loom actually goes very close and sometimes comes into contact with the ABS module bracket which is bad news, as over time it will rub and can short the wiring causing faults and possible damage to wiring & modules .

Over the years I have seen tape corrugated plastic (conduct) put on the edge of the bracket to try and prevent damage by Main Dealers as part of warranty work (sometimes without the owners knowledge) hence this fault also can't be ruled out and you need to make sure this isn't happening .
