seat mechanism broken well ... snapped

hi all again!?
after having passengers in my car at weekend
and them pulling pushing wrong lever to make seat move in order to get out
from the back they somehow managed to snap the cable in which makes the seat move forward after lever has been pushed too let them get out.

it has snapped down by the runners where the tube with a spring in it tightens and releases in order to operates the seat on runners ill take some pics if peeps are unsure of what i mean exactly as its hard to explain!!!

i just wanted too know if anyone has experienced this and how much a new cable will be?

Same thing seems to have happened to my passenger seat too. Looked on RealOEM.com and it doesn't look like you can get a cable for it on it's own. Think it might be a case of getting the whole vertical seat adjuster replaced. Gonna try and get mine sorted by BMW at the weekend so will let you know.

Contemplating going to 1320 as I have an engine query too so might ask them about it.

I'll let you know how I get on.

yeah thanks i called mini yesterday cant believe it you have to buy whole thing i got quoted £109 from mini parts dept.
theres nothing else wrong with it so going try local breakers, just going to have to bare with though its not too bad, just annoying!
its only a steel cable! and with a value of probably no more than £20 cant believe they don't sell separately!
oh well! thanks all!!
