Known faults 4 early models

Just wondering if anyone could give me a list of the known faults for the early models 2001 onwards. Mine has done 40000 and I am just wondering what to look out for, reading the forums it appears the early models can have lots of (expensive) faults.

Remembering not every early MINI will get all or even any of these expensive faults, heres a few I could think of as perhaps the most common :-

Electric Steering Pump / Steering Rack (All models)
Steering Column / Bearings (All models))
Air Bag Warning Light - Seat Wiring Loom (All models)
Front Seat Folding Mechanism breaking / jamming
Midland Gearbox / Clutch (One & Cooper)
Dual Mass Flywheel (Cooper S)

I think the electric window motors breaking are a pretty common problem too - I'm about to get mine fixed and there's a lot of threads on here about it.

The very first ones had a problem pulling to the left which i think they sorted in 2002 by replacing parts of the suspension. The problems i have encountered on my 2001 MC 32-40k miles are a rotten exhaust and hanging strap and seized rear brake caliper which are both common as quite a few have experienced the same.

Snap.

And don't forget the interior rattles... oh the rattles...

And my radiator sprung a leak. The guys at the dealership seemed to think that was a common problem - but I don't remember reading about it on here.

All the best,
Andrew.

One more to add to the list:
Manual adjusting headlight leveling failing - causing lights to be pointing down

Needed to have new headlight replaced under waranty. Still causing intermittent problems,

Lamsy for the lights you need 2 people one to flick the headlight leveling switch one one to shut the bonnet at the same time that usually works its the motors jamming thats all.

Had my exhaust and the strap replaced last month, it was rotten like you say (and hanging off!).
I'm just hoping I won't get the gearbox/PAS problem as these seem the biggies!
I've currently got a problem with the EML light coming on when it feels like it and going into lymph mode. Could this be a sensor going? It does not happen all the time
A friend is going to plug it in for me at his dad's garage.

One day, I would like to swap for a newer cooper as I'm paranoid about something going wrong!
