can any body help, my fuel cap door on my 53 plate cooper s as dropped and now is wobbling has any body got any idead how i get to it to fix it ? ive check the haynes manual and it aint in there any help would be great as i dont wont to start stripping untill i know where to start to get to it.

I used this excellent step by step photo guide to fit mine, so it might help fixing yours

Cooper S Gas Cap
(Go to Current Mods, Exterior, then Cooper S Gas Cap Conversion)

sounds like it's popped out of the hinge at the back.
