Hi all,
I put up a post a few months ago to do with the gurgling sound of air in coolant coming from passenger side of 06 Parklane, and received a few replies.
Just to update, noise stayed for some time and then one weekend I checked coolant level in expansion tank - which was empty!
Topped up and kept a eye on things but bottle would go down after week or two with no obvious sign of leaks under car. Then last week after topping up I noticed coolant on ground the next morning. Rang dealer last Friday and they suggested bringing car in for a visual check by mechanic. Did this yesterday morning and problem was diagnosed as thermostat issue. Temp gauge in car always at correct position.
Under warranty - fortunately - they decided to keep car in and do replacement and also do brake fluid change under TLC package.
Collected car this morning and all looks well.
The service rep told me that the thermostat problem is a general Mini issue - just wondering if others have had this experience?
Have to also say full marks to dealer for jumping the queue to take car in and for warranty which seems to be 3 years and the TLC option - didn't have to take wallet out for anything!

I had a coolant leak with my 06 Park lane aswell, they replaced the thermostat housing which did solve the problem.

How many miles has yours done?

Mine (I should say the wife's!!) has done 26,000 kilometers or roughly 15500 miles.
As I said earlier my dealer confessed that it was a not unknown problem with Minis.
What sort of mileage are you getting from the run flat tyres?

Another observation in Ireland it seems 90% of owners are female but judging from posts on this site a lot of males in UK seem to own/enjoy the Mini!

Would this be a valid observation?
