I have a 2005 MCS, the car has been good.

The temperature gauge once it’s warmed up always sits in the middle, and I only push the car ones it has got to the middle. But since last week the temperature gauge has been a bit strange, the pointer will never actually get to the middle. It almost get there like say 47% , but not the 50% mark.

Yesterday when I switched the car off once fully warmed up and back on it went dead straight to 50% but not today, is this a problem? The car is still under warranty, should I book it in or are they likely to laugh at me.

The reason it bothers me is that I use to watch it till the marker aligns with the line in the middle, but annoyingly it’s a tiny bit to the right now..

What do you guys think? I only got about 4 months warranty left..

Get yourself a Scangauge so you can see the actual coolant temperature
