You will need to disconnect the battery to avoid having the airbag warning light come on

Its only a forum you know!

I think this is another name for what is sometimes called the clock spring for electrical contact behind the steering wheel. It allows the horn and airbag (and any other steering wheel switches) to make electrical contact while still being able to turn the wheel. If there was just cables they would twist, fatigue and break. The spring must be set in the correct position to allow it to work in either direction without being damaged when wheel is turned on full lock.

Hey,

does anyone know of any reasons for the horn to not be working? What is the wiring like for the horn.

When i removed my 2 spoke wheel there was a wire from the two side horn buttons going into a socket but when i put the JCW wheel on there was no wire attached so nothing to stick into the socket!

Now the JCW wheel is on but the horn doesnt work!

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Cheers.
