What's The Longest Your "Seat Squeak" Stayed Away?

I had my squeaky sports seats tightened and readjusted about a week ago. From all I've read, especially from my British friends, that type of "fix" is temporary. Or is it? Has anybody had their squeaky seats fixed this way? How long ago? For those who found this to be temporary, how long did it stay quiet?

Also, who has had seats replaced, and was it the whole seat, base or back? And has THAT worked?

Thanks in advance!

I find my seat is generally fine for weeks if I don't adjust it. If I have a full load of passengers and need to move the seats back and forth a lot over a weekend then they squeak like heck for a few days and then settle down. Once in a while they start squeaking on their own and then the cure, curiously, is to adjust the seat up&down and back&forth a little, I assume to redistribute some grease. Funny how moving the seat a lot when it isn't already squeaking doesn't help, it makes it worse but the solution after it is squeaking, is to move it!

I haven't mentioned the squeak to the dealer but I did have the back replaced already (because it was popping off) and the new back is worse if anything for squeaking but looks better on properly. Perhaps it squeaks less when partially popped off

My seat creaking gets worse when the temperature is above 90 degrees with high humidity. By the time I drive 100 miles to the dealer with the a/c on, the creaking stops. Anyone else notice this?

What's the longest my seat squeak has stayed away? Four months and counting.

I must be very lucky as it's never squeaked.

had lots of seat squeeking and after having it done several times we got it booked into have the new seat frames

on the day the garage rekon they have been told to stop this and use a different gunge to lubricate.

I scoffed but thought well give it a go why not.

so far 2 months free of squeeks before the most it made was a week
