Mmini Mug Creaking And Ticking!

...the "MINI" thermal mug I bought to go into the front beverage holder ticks and groans audibly when filled with a cold or hot beverage...a touch of authenticity...

...is this because it was made for MINI...???...or could it be the true cause of the transient dash pannel noises that have been plauging us...???...

...in any case, I feel this is entirly innaproriate in a coffee mug in this price range....$11.75 is too much too pay for such poor attention to detail...

...is this a known issue...???...does anyone else have this problem with their MINI Mug...??...is there any soloution, or should I see if I can reject this mug....????

...Know Fear...

I understand it's easily fixed with the new ecu upgrade software. I heard of a guy who had his shipped to New Jersey where they did the fix, but he was without his coffee mug for 10 days!
Your dealer should now be able to just plug his laptop into the coffe mug diagnostic port and do the fix. An unexpected side benefit is that some folks report that coffee now stays hotter longer.

Yeah the guy in NJ got it fixed but when he got it back the coffee level was low AND it was green/blue color rather that brown...

I see by this 'mug shot' that the guys at MINI are of a negative nature! "Half empty" instead of "Half full"

This mug is obviously an item from the Oxford plants quality control department!!

Well, My mini mug that came in the mail NEVER has an issue with coffee rotting inside the groove. Perhaps because I only put Tea in mine. Now, if they can only solve the problem of the getting stuck in my cookie-duster of a moustache raining green tea upon my lap when trying to sip in traffic...
