IIRC, there are modified looms and pretensioners that came out after my earlier problems.

The passenger loom was changed a while back, and yesterday the drivers side was taken care of.

As for inconvenient - not especially. I work in London two days per week, and arrange for the work on one of the days I'm there. If you are within the dealers 'catchment' area (they specify) they come over and pick up the car, do the work, and then bring it back.
I didn't know that when I bought the car, but I'm glad I bought it from where I did!

With that level of service, the fact that it's not the dealers' fault the looms are dodgy, and that my dealer is very accomodating with my modifications, I really can't complain.

Is anyone still having problems?

Well, now I am out of warranty my airbag light has come on AGAIN! and they want £90 to fix it!

That was from one garage, another dealer has said that as it has been a recurring problem on my mini (think this will be the 4th time) they will try and have a go at BMW for me and see if they will cover some of the cost.

I did extend my warranty with Warranty Direct, so it will be interesting to see if they will pay out, then it will only cost me £15 in total...
