| MINI2 Regular | New strange suspensionproblem on two swedish cars Found an intressting article on a swedish site, both their testcars hade the same strange fault. http://www.bytbil.com/index.cgi?mtips=13200355469-25172 For your convinience Iīve tried to translate the fault-part into English (excuse my bad translation "But with a little bit more forced driving we ran into a more serious problem that occured on both of our testcars.A stay (donīt know if this is the right term, (a small arm in the front suspension) (BMW Group Sweden havenīt figured out wich one yet by the front left wheel jumped out of itīs place and made the car bounce all over the place and made the steeringwheel pull hard to the left. Stranger is that the car fixed themselves if you accelrated hard straight forward, BMW Group sweden did not find anything wrong with the car" Have anyone experienced this problem before, never heard of it, talked to the guy that did the test and he is courious to know if this is a known problem.. |

Offline | Only thing I can think of is the old left pull problem from over a year ago+. Suspension pieces were recalled/replaced then. The wheel(s) on the car never "jumped" around though... Jet Black MCS Lapis leather 17s or 15s (winter) no DSC |

Offline | You Swedes (1/2 Swedish here) do some wicked car tests, so they come up with alot of extreme stuff. Like SAAB & Volvos moose crash tests to keep them from going thru the windscreen. I wonder how a MINI would fare with a Scandanavian moose? Actually pretty important and useful things.
