Dirty windows?

Anyone find that after rain or cleaning the car that when lowering and raising the driver's side window that you get water and 'muck' on the inside?

Any advice to alleviate this would be gratefully received!

yep, this is a well recognised & common problem. Your dealer should know all about it. My dealer stripped out the weather seals, cleaned & dried them & re-fitted. They're absolutely fine now.

Glad that this problem has been adressed. There was a thread running last year about this and I can't remember if a solution had been found at that time.

Cheers Hat ( see you on the 23rd)

I noticed the water likes to slip off the front windshield and pool up at the front top corners of the passenger windows. Add to it this winter's road-grime muck: very nasty looking ses-pools, especially with a tinting contrast.

Anybody getting soap suds under the door too?

This has always annoyed me. You're driving along with the wipers on. The wipers push the water to the edges of the screen and the wind then blows the water around the A pillar and into the side windows. Wind then keeps the pools of water at the top of each window. I wonder what happens if, after collecting a huge pool of water at the top of your window, you open the window. Does the water come into the car?

If you are not carefull it can, at least it has to me. I have also made the mistake of cleaning the windscreen with the window down and got myself a little wet. It was kind of annoying.

Search for streaky or greas* window in the faults and fixes forum and you will see this is pretty common.

Almost every MINI I've ever driven or been driven in (and that's quite a few) have this problem to some degree or another.

LOL!

Not wanting to tempt fate, but my car doesn't seem to be afflicted by the greasy window problem.

Why did I say that. I just know that next time I drive the car it will develop the fault.

it's been discussed before but Rain-X helps keep those unsightly pools of water away from the side windows
