"R50 rear spring threaded connection" recall

Anybody heard of the "R50 rear spring threaded connection" recall?

Dropped my Cooper S in at the local shop for a new steering column and pump and the service guys had written the recall on the work ticket. Have no Idea if this is for the MCS only.

Any ideas?
