Offline | No Power Steering I got into the car this morning and did not hear the power steering motor whining. As I backed out the drive the steering was very heavy. I new from the second I would be strong arming it. Just to make sure I drove down the street the car is fine at speed but at parking speed it is two hands on the wheel and to negotiate a tight corner. I went downtown in the car and it drive fine. The temprature gauge never moved from centre, I understand that the power steering motor is hooked up the cooling fan at the radiator. So what is up. The car is scheduled to go into the BMW/Mini dealership tomorrow for an unrelated fix so it could not have happened at a better time. Any suggestion folk. Charles BRG/W MCS |

Offline | Can't help with your problem, but maybe we should start a launch edition faults & fixes forum Have had this niggling idea of a pw/b S in my head for a while now,if it becomes available might have to act on it if I keep seeing the launch editions pop up in the fff |

Offline | This is the first real problem that I have had. I have just come back from a drive in the car. It is fine above 5mph below that it is two hands on the steering wheel. I still can't hear the steering motor. I have check under the car the see if a plastic bag is caught, and nothing. Charles BRG/W MCS |

Offline | Where are the fuses? Are they down in the driver side foot well, or under the hood? Tinman, Usually the things that aren't answered in this forum are legitimate problems. Like what we have here, the kind of problems that most likely can only be answered by a technician. Charles BRG/W MCS |

Offline | I took the car in to the garage and I should have it back tomorrow. It turns out the power steering pump packed up. Not good on a car that is less than a year old. Charles BRG/W MCS |
