Battery replaced without asking...

My MINI went into the dealer the other day to have a few little problems sorted, and without asking they replaced the battery. I have had no problems yet with the battery. But apparently there is a known fault, and it is to do with the battery draining after a few days out of use, so the lady told me, as has also been said on this forum a few times already. Has anybody else had there battery replaced without asking?
