CV joint noise

i've noticed over the past few weeks some noise from what i believe to be my left front wheel. i've had CV joints go bad in some of my past honda's but, never one fail. the noise is a very distinct click/pop that you never forget if you know it. has anyone else heard this? i only get it from a dead stop and turning. only one or two clicks now but, if it's a CV joint it will only get worse. i have 9000 miles on mine and thought i started hearing it about a month ago.

This is the first I've heard of any potential CV joint problems with the MINI. Perhaps it's the result of a road hazard. Have you looked to see if you can spot a damaged boot?

Not from the bottom, it's a bit tight to fit my head under the car. I was thinking of rotating my tires that would be a good time I suppose.
