Offline | Rubber cover on top of the windscreen Hi folks, I have picked up my Cooper on tuseday, i just love it. But I have already discovered some faults: After a while of driving the rubber cover on the upper side of the front wintsceen gets loose ond makes noises in the wind. It can be easyly put in again but it snaps out again... The interior lights do not swich on if i open the doors. Even the one in the boot does not switch on. I found no way to switch it on, so i think it is a failure. It also seems that i have the drifting left problem... But i do not want to bring the car to the dealer... i want to do my 2000 km of driving in as fast as i can (already 900 done )Has anyone the same problems (light and cover )?MINI cooper: british racing green with white roof, 8 spokes R84 and 5 spoke R86 winter, chrome bumper inserts, pepper pack, automatic climate controll, radio boost, trip computer. |

Just popped it back to the dealer who said that the rubber seal had not been bonded propoerly - bit of glue sorted it out! |

Offline | To get over the interior light not coming on, you need to hold the button in for about 5 seconds until the light flashes a few times. Release the button and then all should be well when opening the doors. [Credit to R1 on that one I believe] I also had the problem of the boot light not coming on, that was a fault but got sorted whilst I waited at the dealership. |
