hi all,

i'ma little worried. i first bought my mini S back in january used. at the time i brought the car to the dealer, had it checked and everything was great up untill like 2 weeks ago. every morning when i start my car my engine does not go. it simply stalls, & struggles to turn on. after a second start, the car turns on. no lights, no warnings come on. what could the prob be? maybe running low fuel to much, and not re-fueling before the tank is at zero? in the afternoons, or at night the car turns on fine. should i bring the car to the dealer for a check up? hope to hear from some people, ciao all!

take it to the dealer...

someone else on here may have had this problem so might be able to advise a bit better

You need an engine software update version 33.2. Call your dealer or MINIUSA for further details.

Mine has just started doing this too. No worries, it's a common and well-known issue, fixed with a software update. I'll have it taken care of at my 10,000 mile service, coming up soon

Then they can also replace the little plastic thing that fell off the top of the shift knob
