Offline | Seat won't lock Got a problem with the passenger seat latch. I've had this problem in the past but have always managed to sort it myself by fiddling with it a bit. Unfortunately now it won't lock back into place at all. I can either have it fully reclined or leaning forward, but it wont lock in the normal seating position. Any suggestions? Thanks guys. Offline | Cheers CYCO. I will get it fixed properly at the dealers at the next service as it still squeaks also. However, Is there a quick fix? I'm trying to avoid going back to the dealer everytime there's the odd rattle or whatever. So any quick solutions gratefully received. Thanks S ![]() |

But I retried it by pressing down on the seat latch, let the seat slide forward, place my hand on the seat front and pushed the seat back; then while in that position, i placed my hand on the seat back and pushed it back.Mostly, if you encounter some difficulty here, repeat the steps again. Works for me. |

Offline | Hah. I'm going to the dealer this week. Bad enough that the seat sometimes wouldn't latch in the standard position, but only more reclined or too far forward to sit in ... now it gets STUCK in the furthest forward position and takes much wiggling of the seat levers to unstick and fix. Have pinched my fingers and almost squished the back seat passenger. NOT cool ... and NOT a way to convince others that the car is well built. Shouldn't have to have a "magic procedure" to make it work. |
