Question Whats been fried???

I plugged my iPaq into the 12v lighter socket this morning, and it was working fine, but a while later, i thought i heard a fizzle, and the power is no longer coming to the 12v socket.

Anyway, when i got to work, i thought i would check the fuse...now i can't quite work out which fuse is for the 12v, but i think it is the one with the two circles and the little arrow, (no. 32 if i remember right - but don't quote me) - and the label on the fuse box cover said 20A, however the corresponding fuse was 30 A, and it hadn't blown !

so whats happened? Has the wrong fuse been fitted, and a wire burn't out? is there another inline fuse somewhere )the fuse to the ipaq is intact?

Any ideas??

Gerry
