Offline | I've had this problem in every car I've owned - sometimes it goes in fine, sometimes you just have to lift the clutch up and do it again. No biggie ![]() Had problems getting into 5th initially (done 1900 miles) but seems be getting better now. Can put it into neutral v. easy from 3rd though without clutch down, and in just about every gear, there's a lot of play both left-right and up-down, ie. I can wiggle it - not quite as much as in neutral, but still noticeable. It doesn't seem to be a problem, but should it be like this?? ![]() ![]() |

Offline | My girlfriends Mini is 8 months old with 4000 miles, over the last couple of months she has had trouble sleecting reverse. She took it to our local dealer today Stephen James Enfield, they just called to say that they suspect the fault is due to a burnt out clutch, which is not covered under the warranty. Cost £500 |
