| MINI2 Regular | Vibration while accelerating I seem to have developed a vibration while accelerating quickly, this seems to only occur during a quick acceleration and is more obvious when the A/C is on (though it happens without it) and more obvious while going up a slight incline. It does not happen all the time with these scenerios but seems to have the most to do with the quick acceleration and the incline portion. The vibration occurs at about 35 mph and last for just 2-3 seconds each time it happens Any ideas Randy and Leonard Silk Green 2002 Cooper Premium Package (A/C Sunroof Multifunction Steering wheel) Tinted windows, TSW R-System Rims and 17" Yokahama Tires. |

Offline | Have noticed the same in my 03 Cooper since new. Somewhat annoying. Just as you described. Would appreciate any insight anyone has on this one. Matt Lee's Summit, MO, USA ( Kansas City ) |

Offline | Is it a really a vibration or is it more like a surging?(also known as yo-yo) Do a search on either of these to see if your symptoms match. Surging and Yo-yo are both well known and there is no current fix. EB/W May '03 MCS, v.36 stumble buster software (previously v. 33.2) EX-STUMBLER - Still YO-Yo-ing |

Offline | Definitely not a surge or yo-yo, it's a vibration through the steering wheel almost like a slightly out of balance wheel, fairly high frequency. I only get it under acceleration in lower speed ranges, generally a few seconds after starting from a stop sign or red light. Worse when the AC is on, but can still detect some other times too. |

| MINI2 Regular | Mine is not the surging either, nor do I feel it in the steering wheel. Mine sounds different then yours it sounds like a plastic vibrating more than anything though I don't think it comes from the dash Silk Green 2002 Cooper Premium Package (A/C Sunroof Multifunction Steering wheel) Tinted windows, TSW R-System Rims and 17" Yokahama Tires. |
