Question Need to run cable from interior to engine bay - ideas please

I need to run a cable from the interior to the engine bay and wonder if anyone knows of a suitable ready-made route.

Ideally it'll be from the area somewhere near the bonnet release lever to the area around the brake fluid reservoir, but that's not crucial as I have a huge length of cable to lose.

Thanks.

You may want to give a better desciption of what you mean. Here in the states cable means big, like coax or tow cable.
Anything bigger than 8 gauge gets into cable. Less than that is wire.

my guess is power for an amp which could be anywhere between 2 and 16 gauge depending on the amp.

Right or left hand drive car? There's a large rubber grommet that the main harness goes through that would probably be the ticket.

That's what I was thinking. 16 easy, 2 not so easy. And definitely want to avoid sharp edges.

Thanks.

I should have given a little more detail:

the car's right hand drive. It's a thinnish wire, no idea what gauge I'm afraid (with a jack plug about 5/16" across attached) to bring signal from remote control sensor inside cabin to control box near brake fluid reservoir.

We have located a gromet in the right place - our dealer told us that they run spot light switch by this route.

I got the Finepix out last night.

I'm waiting for a rear tube to be manufactured as a special order as there just isn't space for a 3' tube under the rear of a MINI, especially an MCS, so the full effect isn't there yet.

Still pictures just can't do justice to this product as there is a vast array of flashing, changing and moving light shows, and once I have mastered the product (and my camera) I'll try to get some video sorted.

You can have any colour of the rainbow, or even all the colours of the rainbow!

Looks very nice Andrew. You are a sucker for James' sales tactics though

Nice bit of kit as well (IceLED) if anyone is interested! (www.neonmotion.com/shop)

the MINI has gone...

He's a cunning so and so, but in all honesty he didn't have to try very hard - Rita decided that I was going to have them as soon as she saw them!
