Offline | Dodgy windows!! Went out in my Mini this morning parked up got out and pressed my lock button once and worked off, therefore did everything as normal. I came back 3hrs later to find my car unlocked with both windows totally down!!!!!! What the hell happened. To get the windows fully down you have to stand there pointing the key at it for about 15secs and I hadn't even got the key out of my pocket let alone try and unlock it!!!! As luck would have it nothing had been nicked from inside and everything was ok, but it totally worried me now, if it does it again in a more risky place. I really caould not have made the car do that as I was no where near it. Has anyone else had this before, does the Mini react to other sensors not just the key???? Or has my Mini really got a mind of its own!! I am very confused and upset. ![]() I love my Mini so much it's unhealthy! ![]() Bean in the green |

Offline | Not unheard of, can be a few things, but all are related to the body control unit (computer), most often moisture that's got in and sent it barmy. A search for christine or unlock* in the faults and fixes forum could help you find more information. Basically, something you need to see your dealer about, but something that they should be able to sort quite effectively and without too much fuss. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | This happened to me on 3 separate occasions. I thought some one at work was stealling my keys to play a trick on me. Took it to the dealer and they replaced one of the comfort control modules. Haven't had the problem since. Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable! |
