Offline | both brake lights are not working Just a a quick post to see if anyone else has had this problem before phoning up the garage Both my brake lights do not light up on braking, but the high level light works! I checked both bulbs and they are fine. It seems like a wiring fault, I have the 17' inch alloys which can make the ride quite harsh! I am guessing a connection has come loose. but where?? ![]() |

Offline | Dash lights work? Turn on your lights and see if the dashboard lights come on behind all your instrumentation. Most manufacturers have interior instrument panel lighting and rear brake lights on the same fuse. This is so people will know there is a blown fuse and work to correct quickly. If dash lights work, then it could be faulty connection. Just seems more probabable to be fues since they both went out. ![]() |

Offline | I checked all the fuses and they were ok. So I ended up taking my mini to the BMW garage. Service was good as expected. They explained that both bulbs were gone and there was a faulty light bulb holder. They replaced all under waranty. Driving to work today a red light on my dash appeared saying there was a fault with my airbags The drama contiues... Cooper: Red, bonnet stripes, chequered roof. |
