Fan blowing air in even when switched off ???

hi just been enjoying the rare british sunshine for a spin around Wales..

nice and warm in my shorts so i turn the fan off...

but air is still coming through all the vents,, the faster i go the more air comes in

is this supposed to happen i thought if you turned the fan to 0 nothing would come in...

not noticed it before but the fan is normally on 1 all the time to warm the car up

cheers .....

I think you will find that the fan is there just to increase the rate at which air enters the passenger compartment.

If you have your dashboard vents open then air will come in when the car is moving at a rate determined by your speed.

If you don't want air coming in then close the dashboard vents and set the air direction control to direct all air through the dash vents.

You might find your windows mist up if you leave it like this for too long.

If you put the heat/AC mode into recirculate before you turn the controls off, no air will come out of the vents.
