hello all

i have found mny sunroof to be rather rattly / vibration when open or closed. is this normal ?

also i have the 17" run flats could this be the problem ?

please let me know if any of you have experienced the same or is yours rattle free

Sadly it seems to be normal as my second car has the sunroof rattle just like the last one. Do a search for sunroof + rattle to find out more

Sounds like the usual sunroof rattle problem again.
It is more than likely the cartridge (frame) requires replacement.
This is happened to many owners previous, maybe a fault on a particular batch.
This should be carried out under warranty as it is going to cost a bundle out of your own pocket.
My particular dealer appeared to back charge Mini UK over £1000 for replacement and fitting.

I have a 04 MCS and i have no problems at all with the sunroof open or closed and i have 17' Runflats on it too. I'd bring it back to the dealer to be honest.

Mine has been fine until now. 8000 miles and now rattles badly when open. The glass in the drivers door has also started doing it. Driving me round the twist...
