Unhappy Not a happy bunny

Hi Guys,

Today I've had to call the MINI dealer again and book my car in for more warranty work.

I have a MINI One that's less than two months old and it's on it's second visit... I'm not very happy

The list of problems it's going in for this time are:

- Headlights not alligned and vibrate over bumpy ground
- Metallic clicking noise coming from drivers side (steering column or a-pillar, can't decide)
- Rattles coming from the back interior
- General dashboard rattles
- Exhaust very boomy, especially when cold.

Anyone else having/had any of these problems?

I also managed to damage one of the alloys last week so having that repaired tomorrow... not having much luck with it so far

I hope I can get all this sorted, I tend to go off cars very quickly if I have lots of problems. I almost feel like I own an MG again, I had similar problems with that!!!!!!

Richard.

I HATE SQUEAKS & RATTLES

SQUEAKS & RATTLES ETC are common problems, they put foam and felt tape on the relevant places - top tip: take the time to do an extended test drive with the mechanic before leaving it to so they can hear the noises for themselves and again when you go to collect it, if it aint right, keep hold of their courtesy car until it's fixed ... you are getting a loan car I hope - don't know about the rest but theyre a great car, just take a wee bit of getting 100% right keep with it

When it comes to rattles and squeaks MINI2 is a great source of info. These things take a bit of love, care and attention to resolve - something the dealership doesn't always show towards your car, naturally. Other than rattles deep within the dash, most can be sorted with a little patience and a trawl through MINI2.
