United-Kingdom Test Mode on Speedo - help required!

Sorry to start a new thread but I have read the FAQ/DIY article on this and also the five page long thread.

I cant get past first base though. Getting into the Test mode is easy enough but I can only scroll through from 1.0 to 1.7. By not being able to get to 1.9 I cant enter the other options i.e MPG, Revs etc.

Does anyone know how to solve this prob? I have a week 48 build 2002 MC, aircon, no sat-nav.
