Seat Heater & Mirror control problem

My dogs keep stepping on these controls, causing seats to heat up (not fun in California summer) and causing mirrors to get out of adjustment.
Has anyone any idea how to selectivly disable these controls, or to re-mount this little control panel elsewhere??
No, getting rid of the dogs is NOT an option! ;-)

Pop the little panel off the back and unplug the conntectors?

The seat heating has it's own fuse which you can take out.

Do not disconnect any wires under the seats, as some are airbag connections. The light stays on for ever (until you get the dealer to reset it) if the system has seen a fault on the airbags.

I don't know how many wires there are on the mirror switch, but take them out one at a time and I'm sure one will stop the lot working, while others will just stop one mirror or one direction working.

Add a switch in that wire to defeat the dogs.

Thanx - I didn't know how to get the little panel out when I posted that, but did see somewhere after, that the shift lever cover gives access. So certainly the addition of a switch (and possibly one for the Seat Heat function) do seem a good option. Maybe even get some OEM switches and install in unused spots on switch panel.

Hope this sort of thing doesn't mess up the warranty
