Hi guys, bit of a strange one but my mini has developed a squeak when engaging first and third gear ,the gear change is also very stiff.This only happens when the engine is cold,after about thirty mins and the engine is up to normal operating temp the noise disappears .I think it could be lack of grease in the remote, has anybody had this fault and if so is it a simple fix before I contact the dealer

Hi Deandyoss.

Had the same thing myself.

You will find it goes to 5 as well.

Book it in at dealers to get the linkage changed. It cured mine.

Cheers for that ,will call the dealer and arrange it ,got a squeak on the drivers seat as well might as well get that fixed at the same time
