Offline | Clutch Noise On Cold Mornings All of a sudden on my 2002 MCS with 30,000 miles I'm having a metallic slipping noise out of my clutch on the first 2-3 engagements on cold mornings. After that it's fine. Any ideas, or similar experiences? Offline | No...always see what's "out there" amongst the owners before doing that. Ken Ken Shapiro Electric Blue w/ Sport Package...first "S" delivered in Maryland (5/10/02) I've been everywhere but the electric chair...I've seen everything but the wind. |

Offline | Yep, had this exact same thing happen at 11,000 miles. Turned out they had to replace clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and fly wheel. It was all done under warranty. Tavis1 ![]() ![]() "There can be only one" |

Offline | When I went back in , they assured me they're doing the whole shtick...flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, thrown out bearing...I've only got about 12 more weeks under warranty, so I'm pleased to have found out this late in the game. Work is being done on Tuesday. Hopefully they'll do it right. Offline | OK, cool! HOW cool it went out before the end of the warranty. I hope it all works out. They lateraly have to tear the whole front of the car apart. Tavis1 ![]() ![]() "There can be only one" |
